Course Description

Educators are being called to shift back to the classroom while embracing what we learned about technology in Special Education during the global crisis. Do you feel it in the winds? A major shift in education has happened and is continuing to roll across the educational plains. However, don’t let shift just happen to you – embrace it and empower your learners to embrace it. In this hands-on, learner-centered professional development session, Dr. Good and you will collaboratively work together to discover ways to take control of the post-COVID shift back to the classroom, find ways to leverage the best of technology in your classroom, figure out how to use technology to empower your learners, and develop momentum for innovative co-operative learning. As a result of completing this course, students will…

Identify ways to leverage technology to support all learners.

Develop a methodology for evaluating educational technology to determine if and how it will meet learners needs.

Create their own assistive technology education tools to use in their classrooms.
