Course Description

Change is about moving forward, and looking back. Leaders must be skilled in evolution, and creating a sound pathway for individuals to implement and sustain new ways of working. Stakeholder engagement, excellent communication, and execution of the mission of the institution (which includes meeting the needs of its stakeholders) need to be balanced in order to ensure adaptability.

This course is led by an industry leader, and professor of organizational development, and will include a conversation with a museum change leader. Throughout this course, you will be exposed to frameworks, models, and strategies that will help you better understand the role of the change agent. You will become familiar with the concepts of innovation, urgency, relevance, and enterprise-wide implementation. Finally, you will be presented with tools and frameworks to support the development and implementation of change initiatives, common mistakes, and executive leadership strategies needed to support enterprise-wide change.
